A good part of Washington-Lee’s success has to be credited to the principals who have guided the school. Over the 90-plus years of W-L’s existence, it has had only ten principals. When you consider the span of years — the Roaring 20s, the Depression of the 30s, Pearl Harbor and World War II, the social upheaval of the 60s, the new millennium — the guidance provided by these men and women has been extraordinary.
